This massive modern sculpture outside of Fort Worth's Modern Art Museum is a visual and acoustic treat. I copied this little girl's idea and stood in the same place moments later. It's called Vortex, by Richard Serra.
Inside the Vortex.
The Vortex, by Richard Serra, is about to swallow this little girl whole. Or will she escape?
I love this series of pictures. Tadao Ando's building alone was worth more than the price of admission. Brooke is in the white coat. Lori is not.
This is Martin Puryear's Ladder for Booker T. Washington.
I was ecstatic to see this one. I had just been reading about Ron Mueck's hyper-realistic sculptures. This one is called "Seated Woman." Here's a link to see more of his work - http://man-sport-shoes.com/The_Hyper-Realist_Sculptor_Artwork_of_Ron_Mueck.html
Had to crawl on the floor with my wide-angle lens for this one, but I think it was worth it. The security guard gave me a weird look, but she liked the result.
This is a lot like the youtube hit "Noah takes a photo of himself every day for 6 years." The series of photographs by Nicholas Nixon are all of the Brown sisters, each taken about a year apart for over thirty years.
