Documentary Options

Family life is dear to me: it's so precious ... so timeless, yet fleeting ... so universal, but also completely unique and special. The people we love are everything. We see them grow and change, we see them come and go, and we will forever cherish our memories of them.

I inherited an interest in family photography from my mother, who left me with incredible photos of my childhood and my first camera. I am working on a similar collection to pass on to my two sons.

For your family, I will create photographs that capture the people, the bonds, and the love; photos with authenticity and personality shining through; photos that family members will want to hang in their homes for generations.

Details about styles, products, packages, and pricing are near the bottom of this page.

Please see my work samples below, and feel free to contact me. I will return calls and emails promptly. 720-432-1027 or click 'contact' above.

Stylistic Choice

Traditional or Documentary. With the traditional option, I will give directions about where to be and how to be, and you'll often be looking towards the camera. With the documentary option, we have pre-established activities and places and I am there primarily to document rather than direct. If you are more interested in candid photos or ending up with a story-like product, consider the documentary style.

Products

What one can do with digital files is incredible, and I am impressed with what my clients do with their digital files. I want you to have full access to the products and deals that exist locally and online. So, all of my packages include full-resolution digital files with printing rights (and online sharing rights). If you don't have product(s) picked out already, I recommend checking out a few of the following: Bay Photo, ArtmillCostco, ProDPI, Nations Photo Lab, Color Inc Pro Photo Lab, Fractureme, and Woodland Albums. I will deliver your photos to you through an password-protected online gallery where you will be connected to Bay Photo, so if that's the direction you want to go, their ordering interface is conveniently located within your gallery (for most, but not all, of their products).

After you've seen your gallery, I offer up to an hour of consultation and support to help you make good buying choices. I am knowledgeable and stay current on the products and companies, and I can extend special access to expanded catalogs and sometimes better prices. For high-end purchases, this extra support may include submitting complex specification requests.  I am happy to provide additional support at an hourly rate.

I do have one product that I make myself and am proud to sell -- archival inkjet prints on fine art paper ("Giclée" prints or "Heirloom Prints," as they are commonly called). They are gorgeous, but they require protection (so I only recommend this for photos that are meant to be framed or at least put into a photo album).
